New companion and good-bye Sis. Nelson.

Fam!

We had a good week this week. A little sad. But nothing the Lord can't fix.
First off, Bourne is leaving me already... He is going to Amsterdam to be the assistant to President. He is such a stud. And my new companion is Elder Lyman. He is a cool guy so I'm excited. I do love Bourne a lot though and will miss him.

Next is the sad part. We have been teaching Belinda and Linda. Their father passed away on Saturday. He lives in Camaroon so they didn't get to see him. They will do their own burial this week and they invited us to come. I was very humbled when they asked us to come. I have literally been to their house 3 times. They don't know us but they know we are different. They love the gospel. They should be coming to church in the next weeks to come. We have taught the plan of salvation but we are going to teach it again to help them know of eternal truths. I love the gospel. How amazing is it that we can live with our loved ones forever. I can't imagine not knowing this truth. Life would be miserable. Belinda and Linda are the coolest people I have met on my mission. I would hang out with them! haha They are doing really well.

The Sisters had a baptism yesterday. Best service I have been to on my mission. Everything went really smooth. The spirit was there. It was awesome. I'm sure a great end to Sister Nelsons mission. I can't believe she is going home! I remember when she left. I still had three months to go until I left on my mission!

We have a FB [FaceBook] campaign going about family history. So Bourne and I looked one up and when we went to the door we realized that the name was the one of the daughter. ( they put the names of the family members on the mailbox) I assumed that it was by accident but we rang anyway. A 17 year old girl answered. We asked for her and she said yeah that's me and we talked about her ordering a pamphlet. And she got super excited! She said yeah I got it but its a little confusing. My mom does this kind of stuff and I'm super interested in it. I FROZE UP! I did not expect that answer! hahaha It was late and she had a friend over but she told us to call her and make an appointment to come help her. Super cool miracle! :)

I have really been studying love lately. That is the key. (in my opinion) to all happiness and success. If you love you can do anything. You will always be happy and you will be as Christ and turn outward instead of inward. It is such a good topic to study. Remember to love. It will make life better. :)

Be and example of the Believers- you never know who's watching.

Fam!

What a week.
The Temple was amazing. :) There isn't much more to say than that. I love it. :)
We finally got in contact with Belinda and Linda. One night we went over to see if they were home. We belled them up and they let us in. So we go up and the door is open a little. But we knock anyway. No one comes. Knock again. No one comes. By this point I'm scared and think that they looked through the peep hole and don't want to talk to us. But I was wrong. We rang the bell and Linda came to the door. And she was a little surprised but said come in! We go in and Belinda is so happy to see us. She said her phone broke and that she didn't have our number. She said I hope I didn't scare you. I said of course you scared us! We thought you didn't want to talk to us anymore and that was definitely not the case. So we went over two days later and taught the Plan of Salvation. She accepted everything we said. She didn't even question it. It was weird but really cool. She just believes us because she knows the Book of Mormon is true. :)
We had Stake Conference and Mupepe was there. He has not missed church since he first walked in the doors 11 weeks ago. I am so impressed with him! I love that man with my whole soul! I feel that he has been a member for like 40 years! He is incredible. I can't wait for you to meet him. :)
We also taught a new investigator this week! Her name is Julia. Whats so cool about her is that she is interested to know what we have to say but only from us. Her family has told her to look things up on the internet has told her bad things but she doesn't care because she wants it from the source itself. :) I wish all people were like that here. It was really cool to teach her the first lesson. Then we asked her to pray at the end. She was nervous and then we explained it very simply and she prayed. It was so cool! She will be on vacation this week but next week we are going back! :)
I want to end with a miracle from last p day. We went to Gent to go look at a castle. We actually weren't going to go but in the end we decided to be with the zone members. While in Gent we stumbled across an American family that lives in Germany. And we did that 3 times. the 3rd time was in the castle. And the wife asked Elder Bourne are you related to Travis Bourne. And Bourne said yeah thats is my dad. And the lady paused for a second and said when I was 16 I was really good friends with Travis. His example and influence was one of the biggest reasons why I was baptized. Now I am sealed in the Temple with 4 kids. I was in awe. I didn't know what to say. It was maybe the coolest thing I have heard on my mission. It was unbelievable! You never know who is watching or what influence you can have on someone just by being a disciple of Jesus Christ. People watch us closely. Be an example of the believers. You never know who is watching. I love you all. I hope you all have a great week!

Miracles, Baptism, and Priesthood Power

Fam!

What a week. Our numbers definitely did not show the success we had. We didn't work a lot in Antwerpen. We felt that it was better spent in other areas and it paid off.

And we saw miracles because of it. God has definitely been working through Elder Bourne and I.

We were able to work with the Turnhout Sisters and the Antwerpen Sisters. We saw miracles with them.
Tom got an answer to his prayers and is ready to be baptized! We set a date with an investigator named Tommy who already has callings but just needed something. It was super cool.

I know the power of the priesthood is real. I love it.

I don't really have much else to say besides that we are going to the Temple on Wednesday and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! Then we are giving the Temple conference after! I'm super excited!

I hope you all enjoyed conference as much as I did. It answers questions and those men are called of God. I have no doubt that they are. I love you!!
