If you turn to Him

Fam!

What a great week!

Miracle of the week: We go over to Ilonas house on Sunday and we bring some elders with us (musical elders.) To explain that we have a music group that travels and does firesides. They are unreal good. So we bring them to Ilona our investigator and she is not doing so good. She will need to get surgery in about a month. So we taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we hit baptism and as we were talking about it she says I want to get baptized before I get surgery because I don't know whats going to happen with the surgery I may die and I want to get baptized before that but I know that I need to come to church. And it was so awesome. Then the Elders sang for her and she was just crying. She said that it was good for her heart. The spirit was so strong. I wish you all could have been there. Its one of those moments that helped me realize the importance of the gospel and music.

They sang "Where can I Turn for Peace?". It just hit me really hard that we always have somewhere to turn for peace. We see all of these people and talk to so many people that don't have the knowledge that we have. We have someone who is always with us. Someone who will always be next to us no matter what we are doing or going through. That is what helps me go one. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. I cant begin to explain how I feel. I have seen the peace that He brings. I know that He can bring the same peace to you as He has given me and Ilona. If you turn to Him.

I love you so much!! :)

A surprise finding of Elder Bosco by Jill (Andrew's  sister) who just happened to be visiting Amsterdam last Sunday and saw a missionary who looked familiar.... Thanks for the picture Jill!

Tender Mercies at Burger King

Fam,

I don't have a lot of time to write today! Here is a cool miracle we saw this week. We did a lot of planning but God still blessed us for trying our best.

We were in the office planning and we get a phone call saying that two companions got separated in Zoetermeer. We told them to keep looking and then to call us in 30 minutes if they couldn't find him. (the elder that was lost was a brand new missionary who has been here for 4 days) So they call us and they can't find him so we go down to try to help them. Right when we get to the Center of Zoetermeer they call us and tell us that they found him. So we decide to go to lunch with them. So we go meet them at the Burger King in the Centrum. As we are walking to the BK we see a less active member from Leiden. (Elder Neptune my new comp served in Leiden and knew him) We talked to him and he was happy to see us and we got to have a nice conversation with him and he realized that he needs to start going to church like his girlfriend who isn't even a member. Then an old lady stops us and she was a member from Zoetermeer. (Things like that never happen in this country. In America you see members all the time and they pay for your food but here is rare to see members outside of appointments) So that was a tender mercy. Then we walk into Burger King and this lady says Hey elders how are you? We were shocked. She was also a less active member who is slowly becoming more active and her daughter wants to get baptized! We weren't even in our city and I have no idea if we even had an effect but It was cool that God blessed us to be in the right spot at the right time. Nothing crazy happened but It was really cool. :)  This week we were crazy busy. Next week should be better.

I have a new companion. His name is Elder Neptune. He went to Granite Bay High dad. He knows Roseville. I'm super pumped to be his companion. We are a lot a like and this is going to be a really good transfer. I'm super pumped.

I was reading in Alma 60 and 61 this week about the epistles from Moroni and Pahoran. And I was putting myself in both of their shoes and trying to understand both stand points. I realized that to often we judge or we think that someone is or isn't doing something to hurt us or to make them better than us when often times we don't understand the full story! This next week I'm really going to try to understand people and try to walk in their shoes so that I know where they are coming from and so I don't get frustrated with decisions they make before I know why they make it! I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and the lessons that I have learned from it. I'm trying to get better at studying it instead of just reading it. I love it and I know its true! Try it! READ IT AND PRAY ABOUT IT AND YOU WILL KNOW TOO! I love you all!!

Temple and Tulips (Keukenhof)

Elders Bean, Bosco, Elkins

Mission Council
Fam!

We had an awesome week!! Conference was incredible as always. I love it.

We got to go to the temple!!! I love the temple so much! I'm really excited that I get to be home when Collin gets to go through! I cant explain how grateful I am for a loving Heavenly Father who has brought these truths back on the earth and that we can do work for those that cant do it for themselves. I love it! :)

We also got to go to Keukenhof. It wasn't as good as last year but it was still beautiful and it was fun to see everyone!

We taught Ilona this week. She is awesome. She is still very sick though. Hopefully she will be able to come to church. She is so prepared to accept the gospel. Now its a matter of time and when she comes to church. I love to see the gospel help and change people. Especially myself. Thats a little selfish but I'm so grateful to have something that can always help me!

We got to work with Elder Hosea this week in Roosendaal. It was a lot of fun. He is sick. He is the first Poly that I have seen in a year and a half! haha I love it! We taught a lady that loves the Book of Mormon but she is not willing to change her religion. We asked her if she would be willing to be baptized if she knew it was true. She said no but if you would have talked to me 8 years ago I probably would have. She will one day accept the gospel. I know it. She was so nice. It was a really cool lesson.

I am so grateful that families can be together forever! I know that that is possible through the gospel. I have the best family ever. I love you all a lot. I miss you a lot. But I know that I will see you again and live with you forever! Words cant describe how much I love you all and how much I look up to all of you. Thank you. :)

Elder Bosco

Saturday April 4, 2015

Fam,

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this coming week!

First we have General Conference! I cant believe this is my last one on my mission. I am really looking forward to it and to the revelation that I will receive :)

Second, we get to go to the Temple next week!! I am so pumped! Words can't describe. :)

We had a solid week this week. I got to work with Elder Elkins and Elder Lyman. Elkins and I taught a First lesson to a man who met a member and wanted to know more. He was really open to the message and will be coming to watch conference this week! It was crazy because the phone kept ringing and people kept coming to the door but someone was there with him and he would make the person go get the door or answer the phone so that he could listen to us. I thought that was super cool. He was very open to what we had to say and he was very grateful when we gave him the Book of Mormon after the lesson.

I was reading in the Book of Mormon this week and while I was reading it just hit me how cool the Book of Mormon actually is! I was reading in Alma in the war chapters around Alma 50-55 and Moroni was a stud! But it really just hit me how real the Book of Mormon is and how much it can help us. Even these chapters can be applied to what we are going through. I often forget how important the Book of Mormon is. Without it I wouldn't have a strong testimony of the gospel. Through it is the only way we can receive a deep and powerful testimony! I have learned a lot about the Book of Mormon through Sister Robinson. Its so nice to be able to work with them and to talk to them about challenges that I have and to hear that they have the same ones or had the same ones. I have truly come to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon on my mission. I have come to love to read and study and ponder the words in it. I know its true. This is how we can help those around us find the happiness from the gospel. By helping them read the Book of Mormon. Sometimes its scary to share the Book of Mormon. But there are easy ways to do it. We can apply it to their lives and what they are going through to help them realize that the Book of Mormon can help them!!

I love you all!!
