"I KNOW it!"

Fam
Awesome week this week with some sad news.
We had a ward BBQ on Saturday and Courage and Victor. (11 and 8) came with us. And they loved it so much!!! And then we went over on Sunday cause they had to go to church with their mom. And I asked them if they wanted to come to church next week. They said that their mom won't let us go to the church anymore. I was so upset. So on Wednesday we are going over to talk to the mom. And figure this out. Things will go good though I have a feeling.
We also taught another lady this week her name is Maura. She is from Suriname. We contacted her like 2 months ago and now finally had a lesson. She talked about how she is religious but how she doesn't think going to church is important. (like everyone else in this country) But we told her about the restoration and why church is so important and that even when we make mistakes we have a way to be forgiven. And we can be forgiven every week!! how incredible is that? When I was telling her this it finally hit me. The sacrament is why we go to church. I always knew that. But then I KNEW it! weet je?? It was so incredible and you could see the spirit in her and working on her. I then ask if you knew these things were true would you do something about it? and she didn't know. Which is painful to hear. When someone feels the spirit and knows something is good but wont change. It takes a lot to change but its worth it!! It will take some time for her but she is a good one!
Then I'm standing in church and I look outside and I hear English and its a familiar voice. And then I see my MTC teacher Brother Van de Graaf! I was so excited! It was super awesome to see him. And his wife knows Alexis.  I just felt like I was at home. It was a blessing :)

Wes I am so excited that you are going on Wednesday!! Its incredible to be on a mission. You are ready! Way more ready than I was!! You're a stud!! I love you.

I love you all and I want you all to know that this is the true church of Christ and he runs this church through his prophet. I know it. and I cannot deny it.

Awesome week

Fam!
We had an awesome week this week!
We have 4 people in church! it was so awesome!
The miracle was one of the ladies we didn't know and she says yeah my friend was baptized a year ago and she told me to come so she came. We taught her the restoration and then we gave her the baptismal invitation. She said I don't know enough to get baptized! haha We told her that that was ok and that we would teach her everything she needs to know!
Joy was also in church and she has two little boys who are 11 and 9 and they both wanted their own copy of the Book of Mormon. It was super cool. I cant really describe the week we had. It was just a great week and we saw a lot of miracles!
We have been working a lot more with the members and its been paying off.
I don't have a lot of time sorry :) haha this is really short!
But I know this is the true church on the earth! Every time I testify of a truth it just makes sense to me! I love it! I love it out here in the Netherlands! I cant believe its already almost been a year. We have transfers this week but we are both staying so I hit my year mark this transfer... How crazy is that?!
I know Jesus Christ lives and he Atoned for each one of us personally and we have the chance to experience his love every week during the sacrament! I love it :)

I love you all. I will try to send the package next week! sorry coll :) hahaha Love you!

Hup Holland Hup!!!

Fam!
What an awesome week! On Tuesday we had exchanges and I was with Kartodirjo a Suriname elder so we talked dutch all day! So fun! Best part is that we had to get to an appointment but the bus didn't come for 14 minutes so we decided to walk! I know crazy idea right ;) Anyway a guy stops on his bike and says the Book of Mormon. In my head I thought oh boy here we go. He stopped and started to talk to us and then he said I don't have a religion and I am looking for one and Ive never been baptized!  was so cool. Then I pulled out an English Book of Mormon that i felt i should leave in my bag. He looks at it and says this is a holy book to me. I didn't know what to say I was just in shock! haha But I said yeah it is for me too. then on Sunday we tried to look him up but we walked to his house and it ended up taking 3 hours. Long story. And we never found it cause he lives in a camper or something. So we are going on Wednesday. It was so cool though.

Then I went on Exchanges with Elder Nye. His dad also played for the 84 team at byu. Dad should know them. They live in Logan. he went to sky view. That was one of the best exchanges Ive been on. We even got offered jobs hahaha again long story! it was so cool! It was just a really fun day.

Then we helped the sisters on Thursday and we had a really good day with them. We got let inside while contacting with a Muslim guy. It was pretty cool!

Then on Saturday we had a Zone Conference and I got to see all my companions that Ive had and Elder Bean!! It was so awesome :)

Happy Fathers day yesterday dad and happy Birthday to Lex on Saturday :) Love you both.

I am so thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Even as missionaries we make mistakes but we have the Atonement and the sacrament to help us to be better the next week than we were this week. I actually thought about what I needed to change and it had so much more meaning and I loved it! Its a Convenant that we make with God that sometimes we forget the importance of it because we have been doing it our whole lives.

I love you all. I don't know yet if we will be allowed to watch the games or not. But 5-1!

Faith not fear

Fam!

What a week! I went on exchanges with Elder Pimintel my Zone leader and seriously for two hours everyone we talked to was interested. And one guy let us in and we taught him the first lesson and set a baptismal date with him! his name is Jinzeel! He is from Sudan! It was such an incredible two hours! We chased down a guy on a bike we had a lady tell us that she wants to be forgiven of something she did but doesn't know if God would do that! And they taught her the next day and said it went extremely well! It wasn't in my area but I was an instrument in the Lords hands!!! It is such a great feeling! I know this isn't much detail but I can't really describe the day we had and the things I learned! FOLLOW THE SPIRIT! It works! we were walking back to the car and Elder Pimintel goes are we done here? And I thought for a second and then heard no. So I said no. and the first two or three people were not interested and were kinda rude but I knew there was someone. Then we see a lady and she is pretty far in front of us and I yell to her and ask her if we could ask her something! And that was the lady that wanted to know about forgiveness! I thought later that night what if I would have just gotten back into the car. And missed that lady. She probably would have been found later. But she is in a moment in her life where she needs this gospel! Everyone needs it!!!! They just don't realize it yet! :)
Then we taught Lousha again. she is from Suriname. And she brought her grandson with her. We brought a Suriname joint teach and they were just chatting so much! It definitely wont be a quick baptism but I have faith that they will both get baptized. The boy was super awesome. Rafael. He thought it was interesting that God and Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith! And it will take time with him. But it was super awesome!!
We had stake conference this week. And it was broadcast from Switzerland and Pres. Uchtdorf spoke! it was so cool! its weird listening to it in dutch cause I would much rather listen to his voice but its so crazy that I can understand dutch and speak it! it blows my mind! It is so cool!
We have a lot set up for next week. A couple of our appointments fell through but we found some new people who are really positive! So I'm really excited :)
I learned some amazing things this week! First "Worrying can be a way of mentally practicing failure". Ain't that the truth!
Second is about fear and Satan. Fear is the reason Satan did what he did. He feared himself more than he trusted in the Lord. He didn't want to risk his eternal salvation by coming to earth and not having the possibility of returning to his Father in Heaven. He was to prideful. But fear was his biggest weakness. He had no faith. and that is why we cannot have fear and faith. Satan way is fear and the way of Christ is faith. So lets be faithful to the Lord and realize that fear is of Satan and that is one of the ways he pulls us in. Remember. Faith not fear. :)

I love you all so much!!

Whats the Dutch word for awesome? MISSIONARY WORK!

Fam!

What a great week we had! Saturday was awesome.
First we go look up a referral we got from the FB thing we did in the mission and we had a new way of contacting the people and we actually ask them if we can come in while we take a step towards inside. Its all about confidence and that how Dutch people are so we did it and they let us in and we shared a testimony about Jesus Christ and talked for a little and they told us to call them and make an appointment! I'm so excited! it was so cool! our leaders are inspired. It was actually a stake president who came up with how we should contact them!
Then we leave and start doing some contacting and we start talking to this lady and she is protestant and we testify of the plan of salvation and she says we can come back. and then Elder Woltjen says its great weather but a little cold and she says we just got sweaters from someone but they don't fit anyone in our house you can have them. And they were from WE which means they were like 50 Euro sweaters! Super nice of her! Then we keep going and there is a lady sweeping her yard and we ask if we can help and she says shes almost done but comes and starts talking to us. and We start telling her about the Restoration and she says yeah Ive wondered why there are so many churches too. And as I'm saying the First vision the spirit is there and I can see in her eyes that she feels it. And she said we could come by another time if we were in the Neighborhood. So then we go back to the station because we need to catch a train and there is a guy outside and I just know I have to talk to him his name was Iman. He is Rastafarian or something like that but he was so cool. We start talking to him and he says my brothas haha it was awesome! He said we could come back! It was super awesome to see the Lord blessing us!
We also taught a Suriname lady this week and she said she will come to the church sometime. And will read the Book of Mormon. Lousha is her name :)
Then Sunday night we taught Nazir! Awesome Muslim. He was super excited when we told him we have the Book of Mormon in Swahili! And I don't know if he understood everything but he said he would get baptized if he knew it was true! Just a really awesome week!
Being District Leader is awesome. I had the one baptismal interview last week and it was super cool to interview someone who wants to follow Christ! Its really awesome to get to work with so many missionaries and try to help them reach their goals and succeed in their work.
I hope all of you are doing to Book of Mormon challenge. It will change your life if you read it and are willing to change if you know its true. Every day I fall more in love with the Book of Mormon and the truthfulness that it holds. Its true. I can't deny it.

I am so thankful for your prayers and support. I hope everything is going well!
