Training Meetings

Hello my fellow family members,

We had a pretty awesome week. We had Zone Training on Tuesday and that went really well. I have become so much more confident in my abilities. I know I'm not the best or even close but I do know that God has given me these things. I try to rely on him to help me. Giving presentations is pretty fun now. A year ago if you told me I had to give a 5 minute talk I would have freaked out! I enjoy studying the topic and then when I get to the front it just comes to me.

The Scripture in D&C 84:85  [ "Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man"] has a much deeper meaning. I love it. I study and I treasure up the words and then in the moment I need them they come. I must first study though!

We also had a lesson with some young people I wasn't there so I don't know the details but we got three new investigators and they are planning on coming to church next week. The Zone is doing really well though and that makes me more happy than if my area is doing amazing. I love talking to missionaries about their area and just seeing them glow about it. It has helped me realize that that is how God feels about us when we pray to him and tell him about our day and how awesome it was. He loves it! He wants us to succeed. And sometimes he waits until we ask. Its pretty awesome!

We actually have time this week to do some work in our area so it will be a good week. We have a lot of good lessons set up and we have been finding people!

I love you all. Sorry for the short letter. We have zone p day today and I need to get my A game on. haha Its so fun because I don't go hard at all. I just make jokes and have fun so don't worry about my knee. I don't do stupid things. :) Love you!

Saying goodbye to Elder Muse

Fam,
We had a good week!
Elder Ballard is awesome! I felt so much love from him. We got to shake his hand and it was a cool experience. I could truly feel his love and that he is an apostle of the Lord. I know he is. He is very funny also! He was cracking jokes when his wife was speaking. (He had to stand with her because she has a bad back. She is just a cute old lady though. So sweet.) He definitely made us feel loved and that we were doing the Lords work. It was awesome. :)
Loretta came to church with her 4 kids... Jeremiah is 3 and is nuts. I will send pictures of him next week! Such a cute family though. She enjoyed it but she lives so far away and its hard with her 4 kids. (one is handicapped. she was born prematurely.) She is a cute little girl though. I love that family so much!
My new companion is Elder Bourne. Funny thing is that he used to live in Belgium and go to this ward so he knows a lot of the members which will be very handy. :) He is super cool though. He was my district leader in Vlissingen and I told him we would be companions one day! haha He is from Virginia though. Loves LeBron so we will get along just fine! :)
Muse is going home and he is getting excited. A lot of mixed emotions this week but he is ready to go and happy about it which is how he should feel. I'm going to miss him a lot though. He helped me a lot on my mission to become the man God wants me to.
I have been reading Believing Christ this week. Go read it. It is really good. There is one part I would like to share. It says something along the lines of. A lot of members of the church believe IN Christ. But how many of us actually BELIEVE Christ. It got me thinking. We have so many promises in the scriptures and how often do we say -oh that cant happen to me- or -I'm not good enough to receive that- We are limiting the Lord. We believe that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. But do we believe Him? I haven't always believed Christ. But now I do and I know everything is possible because of Him. I love the new short film called Because of Him. I feel the Spirit every time I watch it. I love it and I love Christ. Just remember that He did all He did to succor us. Let his grace enter your life and let Him help you along the path. We can't do it alone. But we don't have to. I know Christ lives. He is my Savior. And for that I am so thankful!
I love you all! :) Have fun in Disneyland! I'll just be here preaching the good news. :)

Love Elder Bosco :)

Mupepe's and Sena's Baptism

Mupepe is the one in the tie.
Sena is the lady! (She is the sisters baptism)

Mupepe and his kids
Fam!
Mupepe got baptized! :) He is incredible. We went over there to teach some of lesson 5 and we were teaching about temples. Then he asks us is there a limit as to how many times I can go once I'm ready and can I stay there? It was awesome! I was laughing because it was so cool!
Sena also got baptized! She was the sisters investigator. God gave sister Nelson and I people that were baptized on the same day. I think that's pretty cool :)
That was a lot of our week this week - getting him ready for that!

We were on the road a lot this week having to go get our car back from Rotterdam and stuff like that.
This week Elder Ballard is coming! I will tell you all about it next week!

This transfer has been all about the Book of Mormon. We extended a challenge to all of the missionaries to prepare and ask God again if the Book of Mormon is true. So naturally we did it also. It's true. :) It is an amazing book. Read it, study it, and let it change your lives like it has mine. I'm starting to receive an undying testimony of it. I love Alma 48:17. I want that! I love you so much! Sorry this letter isn't very long. But I still love you and love it out here. :)

Belgium birthdays and baptisms

Fam!
What a week we had. First, dinner with Lee Cummard and his family was so awesome! [Lee played basketball for BYU several years ago and is now playing ball in Belgium]. We had a really good time and ate some good food! It was great to be able to talk to him and his family. They have two really cute little boys! haha It was awesome! [And great timing! Saturday was Elder Bosco's  20th birthday and Sunday was Elder Muse's 21st birthday!- thanks Cummards!]
Monday we had an appointment with Theresia she was just recently baptized. I already love her to death. She could barely walk when we went there. So we gave her a blessing and she was at church this week and was walking pretty good! She knows that God healed her or is helping her. She is so great! She is so nice.
We taught Mupepe this week. He is so ready. We gave him the baptismal interview questions and he passed so easily. He is so ready! I love him so much. He is so excited for his baptism. Everything we tell him, he does. And he loves everything we teach.
We helped the sisters teach an investigator and her grandma who is a member asked us to give her a blessing for the new school year and she was having a hard time sleeping. And Elder Muse told me to do it. I was pretty nervous. This was my second blessing in dutch. But Muse just said. Trust in the Lord. So I did. To be honest I don't remember what I said but I do remember how I felt. I love the Priesthood. I am so grateful for it and for dads example to me growing up.
I got a newspaper article in the mail about dad. I keep realizing more and more how awesome dad is! haha I am so thankful for you dad. I realize physically how awesome you are and now spiritually. That's the most amazing thing. How close our family is and how much everyone strengthened me. I would definitely not be here without every single one of you. I am so blessed.
We also had a stake BBQ and there are some BYU fans so it was nice to talk football with them. :)
Mupepe is getting baptized on Sunday! We are really excited! And Sena is getting baptized. She is the sisters investigator. So that will be so cool!!
I love this work. I love the Lord! Words don't describe how I feel about this work and this place. I wouldn't say I'm always happy or excited but I know its true and I'm receiving an undying testimony of the Book of Mormon.
I love you all so much!!
