Good bye Antwerpen. Hallo Amsterdam

Fam!

We had a good week!
It was really sad saying goodbye to everyone in Antwerpen. But I am really excited to be with Elder Bourne. Round 2 :)

We gave a presentation to the new greenies coming in. They are solid! Im really excited to see the work that they do!

We taught some lessons and have set up a lot of appointments! We taught a man named Bernd and it was sweet! He is from Sint Martin. (Suriname)  We taught him the Plan of Salvation and the coolest part was when we talked about the spirit world! We were talking about it and then he said Wow that is so great. Everyone gets a chance. Like my grandparents. They didn't really now who God was. They just believed that the nature was God. But they will have the chance there to learn about it. It was so great to have him understand that concept and to really appreciate it! I know that every one will get the chance and everyone will get an equal chance!

Yesterday we taught a guy names Margaritaa. He was so sick! The Gouda sisters found him and gave him to us. We taught him a Restoration and we asked him if he had any questions and he paused for a second and said no it was all very clear. He really liked it. We were about to set a date with him and choosing one but then he asked us a random question so we are going to next time. But he is so great. Every weekend he goes to Rotterdam though. But he told us he is going to go to the Church in Rotterdam which will be so sick! He is super cool!

I know God works miracles through us. He uses us as instruments in his hands. We just need to show our faith in Him and do His work His way. I have fallen into that trap before where things are going good and then I rely on my own strength and thats when it all falls. We need to always show our trust in the Lord and humble ourselves which is something else I have really been working on lately. I can see the difference if I trust in Him or if I trust in myself. He is always the better choice and always will be because He loves us and wants the best for us. He will always do what is best for us if we trust. This is one of my favorite scriptures that comforts me and helps me realize I need to put my trust in God.

Alma 38:5
And now my son/daughter, (Insert own name), I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

I love you all!!

Headed back to Amsterdam

Fam!

Congrats on the win! What a way to win. :) I got goosebumps watching the film!
We had an awesome week!

First off I'm getting transferred and I'm going to Amsterdam and I'm going to be Elder Bournes companion again! I'm really excited! I love Elder Bourne. My p days are going to be Saturday now too.  So I will have 2 p days this week.

Batra came to church again and we taught him on Friday with Mupepe. It was awesome! we set a baptismal date for February 15! So awesome! Batra really doesn't have a lot of knowledge about the bible and stuff so its been really awesome to teach him and talk to him. I love Batra. I told him I would probably be leaving and he was so sad. He said you must call me to talk with me. I'm going to miss these people in Antwerpen.

The videos of the Turnhout sisters and Leuven Elders have been awesome for us! People talk to us about it and its really cool! [there are two stories that were in the Belgium media featuring misisonaries.  The sisters story can be found with this link   Turnhout Zusters  and this is the link for the Elders Belgium Elders]
We were on exchanges but Elder Lyman and Elder Reese were knocking doors and the second door they knocked on a man answered the door and before they could even breathe the man said come inside! That never happens! He said it was a coincidence that they were they and that he was home cause he works a lot but they taught him and his wife and they loved it and understood it. He is really busy but we will call them and set something up.

I love the gospel. I have been studying my patriarchal blessing lately and its incredible that God gives us this! So cool. Prayer has also been a big topic on my mind. Its more powerful than we think. I thought I understood prayer but I don't really. I've really been trying to make my prayers better and make my communication better with Heavenly Father. He wants to talk to us and often I just talk to him and don't let him respond! He wants to give us revelation but we need to be ready to hear it. God loves us. Sometimes I feel it so strong I see it! :) haha that doesn't make any sense but I do know God loves all of us and I love being able to feel his love for others. It helps me realize that I need to love a lot more than I do. It helps me know that God cares about everyone. Not just some but all. He just wants us to be happy! I know God and Jesus live. Its such a great blessing to have this gospel. I don't know who even reads this but I feel that I should challenge you all to pray to God and ask Him if He loves you. And he will answer you. He will always answer you if you are willing to listen to Him.

I love you!!

God is all powerful and He loves us. What a joyful message that is.

Fam!

What a week! Some straight up miracles happened!

First Miracle. Mupepe. He brought someone to church! He is so incredible! The guy doesn't even speak any of the languages Mupepe does. The guy (Batra) speaks English and Punjabi. haha yeah sick language. :) haha But he loved church and he loved the Book of Mormon. We would read a scripture and he would say yes that is true. haha so cool! We are going on Friday to teach him the first lesson.

Next We had a meeting on Thursday with the District Leaders. Elder Lyman and I had to go to Kortrijk that day and its an hour and a half drive so we didn't have a lot of time for lunch. So we decided to go to McDonalds that is really close to the church. We were all just talking eating our food and a worker comes up and says do you guys have a card one of my co workers wants it. So I was thinking wow sick. But I didn't expect anything from it. The Sisters gave her a card with there number on it. And that day the lady texted them and yesterday she came to church!!!! So incredible! She just ate church up! She was participating and she is so cool! What a miracle from what seemed like not an important decision! :)

We also got to teach Theresia this week and I'm not going to go into details but she is a recent convert and we had a really good lesson with her. And she was at church on Sunday and the spirit testified through us and it was really cool to feel like the Lords instrument. He was guiding us the whole lesson and we taught what He wanted us to teach. It was something special.

I know this is true. My testimony has strengthened so much since I have been out! I love the gospel. It makes me so happy! It answers my questions and it destroys my fears. I wish I could say I have full trust in the Lord. I'm working on it. But I do see a difference when I trust in God and when I trust in the flesh of man. God is all powerful and He loves us. It has become so apparent to me that God loves me and you. And what a joyful message that is. God loves you. :)

I love you!

I know that this is Gods work

Fam!

What a week!

I got to go on exchanges with Elder Bourne. It was just like old times. It was so much fun! We had a great time with each other. We definitely had a miracle. We were going to look someone up and contacted on the way. Bourne was talking to a guy and a lady walked past and I handed her a card and out of the corner of my eye I say a man on a bike. He rode past us and said hey so I looked and he was still looking and then we looked away but then looked back so I just waved him over and he came over. I started talking and it seemed like he didn't understand so I said English and he said yes. So we started talking and he had met missionaries 4 years earlier and they had given him a DVD. So we told him about the Book of Mormon so we made an appointment for the next day and when he was telling us his address he said it with a thick dutch accent. So we started speaking dutch and he was born in Amsterdam and speaks fluent dutch and English and we didn't have a English BoM there but we did have a dutch and he took it. Then the next day Elders Bourne and Alston taught him and set a baptismal date with him. Such a cool experience.

We also got a FB referral this week. His name is mark. So we had an appointment and he let us in. His wife was really nice and we sat down and started talking. He had watched the Joy to the World DVD and thought it was amazing. So we started teaching him the Restoration and he was intrigued. It was incredible. After everything we said he would say I have never heard that before and he just had a smile on his face the whole time. It was just incredible and when we gave him a Book of Mormon he was so happy. His favorite part of the Book of Mormon was when we told him that the best part was when Jesus visited the people there and he loved it. He told us that he will be coming to church next week. We are so excited!

I know that this is Gods work. He has the power to do all things. And we are lucky enough to be a part of it. Its true. I can't deny the feelings I have had. I have had too many experiences to deny the truthfulness of the gospel! Its incredible! I love it.

I love you!!
