Miracles!

Fam!!

Miracles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ilona is alive!! We went by last night and she was home and we were able to teach her. It was so awesome. She is still in pain but her heart surgery went well but her stomach isnt doing that well so she has to go in next week to get it checked. But we were able to give her a blessing and she just cried after and the spirit was there and she was so grateful! Then we started talking again and she said I want to get baptized as soon as I can. She is incredible. She knows it is true. She is going to make a date next week when she knows what will happen with her stomach. Then we told her a little about the temple and she said I cant wait for that day. It was amazing. I dont have words. Its a miracle that she is still here. She even said I think God needs me to do something since Im still here. I think one of those things is getting baptized. Truly amazing. :)

We also went by Dwight last night. He is the guy that played basketball with us one morning and we went by and were talking to him and he was like Im going to come to church on sunday!! haha He lives like a two minute walk away so that is super nice! Im really excited.

Its just been a week full of miracles and good experiences!

We listened to a talk this week called the inconvenient Savior. Such a good talk. But its really interesting to apply that our personal lives. Most of the things we do are not convenient. We must do hard things. Jesus Christ had to do the hardest thing. All this goes back to grace. And the enabling power of the Atonement. As we rely on Christ and realize that he is there to guide us and lift us out of our troubles these inconveniet things become possible to do. I love the new mormon message LIFT. Go watch it. Its inspiring. :) I love you all!!

[Elder Bosco will be having his final transfer this week to the city of Sint Niklaas in Belgium where he will finish out the final 6 weeks of his mission with Elder South.]
Thank you to Dan Ames ( a BYU civil engineering professor traveling through the Netherlands with a group of engineering students on a study abroad program.) who sent this picture. "We had a very nice visit with a bunch of missionaries  in Delft."

Visit Famous Places (done)

Fam!

I gotta keep it short this week! But first I want to tell mom that I went to the Rijks museum and the Anne Frank house and the Jewish History Museum! I have seen some pretty famous stuff!

This week we were all over the place but friday we were Amsterdam and we were looking up some people and talking to people. And we were walking towards a street that we had knocked the doors except for 2 and a man was standing outside and we started talking to him. He was really interested in the Book of Mormon and we told him that we like to give an explanation before we give the book out. He said Im cooking, but how long will it take. We said 10 mins. He said lets here it. So on the door we were able to teach the Restoration. It was so cool to see how everything made sense to him. He is willing to read the book and said we could come back next week. It was something so small but God gave us an opportunity and blessed us because we took it. His name is wally. He is from Suriname. Its going to be a lot of fun teaching him.

Another small miracle. We were waiting in line at the Anne Frank house today. And there was an American couple behind us and we started talking and it was really cool to be able to explain everything we do and tell them about the church. (He was also able to update me on the NBA playoffs which was needed :)  But it was really nice to realize that these people will always have a positive experience with the church. We talked to them for 3 hours while waiting to enter the house and we were laughing and having a blast! Super cool!

I am grateful for the small things in my life that have helped me to see Gods love for me. He truly gives you exactly what you need at the time you need it. I know God loves all of us. And He knows what we are in need of. Be thankful for the small things in life. Count your blessings. You will know that He loves you!

I love you all!!

Mother's Day Skype

Dutch Testimony May 10, 2015

Family letter May 9, 2015
Fam!
I'm so excited to talk tomorrow! My letter is going to be short! But I wanted to share a cool miracle.
This past week we haven't had much time to work in Amsterdam. Its been crazy. But lately we have been waking up at 6:00 to go play sports. So we go on Wednesday morning and there are two guys by the court who are smoking and drinking red bulls. At 6:00 in the morning. They start watching us and we ask them if they want to join. So they also start playing. one of them was actually pretty good. We were just playing speed. But they get ready to go and he comes up to me and asks if we play every morning. I say just about and he said he would come play again. I asked him where he lived and he lived close by so I told him who we were and what we did and I asked if we could come by and teach him a message about Jesus Christ. He said I feel so bad that I have been drinking but yeah you guys are always welcome. We haven't been able to go back yet but it was super cool. Heavenly Father knew that we didn't have much of an opportunity to work in our own area and then he gave us a tiny opening and I'm very grateful that I took it. He blessed us with people when we haven't even been home! It was a great testimony builder to me that God knows what we need and He is only going to give us a small opportunity to see if we will take it! I'm very grateful for the opportunities that God has given me in my life and that he makes us stretch to reach our full potential.
I love you all. I'm super stoked for tomorrow!! Love you!

I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation

Fam!

The week started off rough but ended really fun! We went to Belgium!! I love that place so much!!

First we went to Antwerpen and worked with Elder Cook and Elder Wilson. That was so much fun! Then we went to Geel with Elder Bitters and Elder Cook haha the younger, and did a baptismal interview and then ate dinner at the Van Gijsels! The next morning Bitters and I went to do some look ups and got let in and taught a lady the Restoration. It was really cool! She wasnt super open to come to church or get baptized but she really liked the message and felt the spirit. It was sick to teach with Bitters. We just went back and forth like we had been comps before. In the car we just talked and we are a lot a like. Im so pumped to room with him.

Now for the rough part. So we went to Ilona on sunday. We started talking to her. And She had also had a rough week. On Tuesday the week before we had taught her and had an awesome lesson she threw out all of her cigarettes and was so excited to get baptized. Later that night she had a heart attack and went to the hospital all week. She proceeds to tell us that she has to go into the hospital for two weeks then she will be getting two major surgeries. One on her heart and one on her stomach. She told us her life story... Boy am I lucky to have the life I have. She then told us that this was the last time she was going to see us. As we were talking about it I had an incredible experience. I had such a peaceful feeling. I knew that everything would work out. That either the surgeries will go well or that she will go be with God. And as sad as I was I couldnt help but feel peace knowing the plan of salvation. It was maybe the coolest experience I have had. I know the plan of salvation is real. I know that no matter what happens to Ilona that she will accept the gospel. She will have peace in the life to come. I am so grateful for the plan of Salvation. That we have the knowledge that we do.

I love you all!!
